WORK EXPERIENCE
VAIDYA CONSULTANTS, INC:
Project Engineer/Computer Admin. 5/99 - present
Office responsibilities include network administrator for a
workgroup arrangement using Windows NT. I also perform all
surveying data control for office use. This includes data
conversion, uploads, downloads and data integrity. All
engineering work performed in the office is drafted using AutoCAD
and Softdesk applications, which I direct and manage. Some
responsibilities as a project engineer include developing and
administering civil engineering projects, typically working with
a team of three to four people. Types of projects include sewer
flow, storm water drainage control, pipe capacities and site
development in compliance with State and Town regulations.
INSITE ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING, INC.:
Design Engineer 5/98 - 5/99
After being promoted to this position, I was very involved in the
design aspect of site plan development. Extensive understanding
and use of AutoCAD R14 assist this. In addition to designing
with AutoCAD R14, I also used Softdesk R8.0, and Softdesk
Imaging R3. Design projects included septic systems, road and
site drainage, site plans, subdivisions, town sewer system repair
and upgrades, etc.
Survey Instrument Operator 6/97 - 5/98
As an instrument operator my experiences include using TOPCON
Theodolites and "Husky 3" Data Collection System. The types of
surveying I was involved with included topographical, title,
construction layout, as built, and control for Arial photometry.
Use of AutoCAD R14 to draft plans from survey points accumulated
from data collection system was also a part of my job
requirements.
PREMIER CABLE COMMUNICATION, INC.:
Directional Boring Crew Foreman 6/96 - 6/97
While employed for this company I was responsible for a
directional boring crew primarily installing fiber optic cable.
Responsibilities also included the quality and quantity of
production performed by a directional boring crew. I was
primarily responsible to plan and execute work tasks on a weekly
schedule including daily production paper work. I also was in
charge of training upcoming operators and "trackers" for possible
future employment.
JUDITH NITSCH ENGINEERING, INC.:
Field Engineer 3/96 - 6/96
As a field engineer I was primarily responsible for overseeing
contractor compliance with their contractual obligations through
onsite inspections. Through the use of daily reports, I was able
to track the quantity of work, amount of work force and total
materials required and depleted. I also completed as-built
drawings of the work site including record drawings of
utility services.
